Fresh New Zealand Blueberries
RD8 Fresh Produce exports Class 1 New Zealand blueberries grown both conventionally and organically. The blueberries we export are grown in the fertile peat soils of the North Island’s Waikato region.
High in oxidants and known to be of excellent nutritional value, blueberries are described as ‘nature’s candy’.
They come in many different varieties from early November through to late March and early April.
RD8 Fresh Produce exports only the sweetest hand-picked blueberries daily through the growing season. A vibrant blue colour, blueberries are packed full of an amazing collection of antioxidants and nutrients. They’re firm and delightful to eat fresh, carefully hand-harvested and only the best of the best is selected for our international customers.
We exclusively market Oakberry Farms Blueberries™, owned and operated by Dan and Jacqui Peach. Dan and Jacqui have owned and operated their company and fruit pack house for more than 20 years. Oakberry Farms prides itself on the best quality fruit as well as growing practices to ensure a sustainable future with low inputs, water conversation and low carbon use.
We also export organic blueberries grown by Monavale Blueberries, produced at a family-owned and operated 20-hectare orchard in the Waikato that’s been growing delicious organic fruit since 1985. Their orchard has full BioGro NZ organic status, and is New Zealand’s largest certified organic blueberry orchard.
